Scotland has many castles of different size and standing, they range from simple piles of rubble to complete lived in wonders.

This section of the web site is dedicated to those castles that I have visited, I aim to include information on the individual castles and where possible the Clans that they are linked to.

At the moment you will find pages set ready for the information that will be uploaded.

I will also include the location of the castle and it’s condition, with a number of photographs to show you what you will find.

Many of the castles are in Southern Scotland, but there are a few in the Highlands, I have visisted many of them. There is a real sense of history when you stand in a building grand or otherwise when you know it was designed to defend the inhabitants or even the wider population.
