290 visitors viewed the castle and gardens between 11am and 4pm on the day, the visitors showed great interest in the castle and itâ€s excellent condition. We gained 3 new members during the day, all from Kilmarnock. John Hunter and Elsie Hunter joined using the joint membership option, the photo below is of John & Sheila Hunter and their family from Kilmarnock with Madam Pauline.
The Isle of Cumbrae Pipe Band played 2 sets, they paraded from the back of the castle round to the front and then down the central drive. Everybody greatly enjoyed the bandâ€s playing, at the end a lone piper played Amazing Grace from the parapets of the Castle.
